Inish Tearaght Lighthouse & Blasket Islands
Dates for our special inish tearaght tour will be released throughout the season, in line with weather and sea conditions.
Join our Inishtearaght Lighthouse tour and journey to Ireland’s and Europe’s most westerly lighthouse. Stand at the edge of the Atlantic where this solitary guardian meets the untamed ocean. This shared voyage takes you deep into the heart of Páirc Náisiúnta na Mara, revealing a powerful maritime legacy.
Aboard the Skellig Bounty, cruise through waters rich with life and keep watch for seabirds, dolphins and, on occasion, whales. Passing the Great Blasket Island, you may also see one of Ireland’s largest grey seal colonies resting on the shore or moving through the water.
As you approach Inishtearaght, the dramatic cliffs and rugged outcrops tell a story of resilience, both of the keepers who once lived here and of the wildlife that now calls this remote place home. Through storytelling on board, you’ll uncover the lives of the lighthouse keepers who endured isolation, fierce storms and the vast Atlantic in their duty to guide ships safely past Ireland’s western edge.
This is a special shared sailing offered on selected dates throughout the season. Each voyage is planned around weather and sea conditions, and your captain will confirm timings in advance to ensure a safe and comfortable journey

The boat was sparkling clean, the crew were very friendly and informative, and the trip was incredible. I'd give them 10 stars if I could!Posted on Google George MunroeTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This has to be the best way to visit Skellig Michael. Elizabeth and Brendan are a great team and attentive in every way to their passengers' safety and comfort as well as able to share some craic appropriately. And their boat is a dream!Posted on Google Aisling QuigleyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The Skellig landing tour was the absolute highlight of our trip to Kerry this summer. A long awaited bucket list wish, it didnt disappoint. The boat was a 10/10 experience between comfort, local knowledge and general hospitality from the team. We were extremely fortunate to have great weather conditions, but the overhead cover still made such a difference. We were so glad to have chosen AquaTerra. Would highly recommend to anyone thinking of booking. You won't regret it.Posted on Google Daniel SchollTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Seeing the Skelligs firsthand and landing on Skellig Michael are must do for anyone in the area and interested in history, sea birds, and or Star Wars but how you get there makes all the difference. There are a number of companies offering similar packages, but Elizabeth and Brendan were fantastic and most of all the boat! The boat was comfortable, fast, and managed the rough seas with an ease that seemed to slow down the other boats, plus you'll stay dry from all of the sea spray but won't miss any of the sitesPosted on Google Janine FreyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had the incredible fortune to land on Skellig Michael Island with AquaTerra last month & it was most definitely the highlight of our time in Ireland. The crew was fantastic, the weather was perfect, & the island was breathtaking. Thank you for an unforgettable experience!!! Janine & DonPosted on Google Piano LoverTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We traveled with AquaTerra Boat Tours to Skellig Michael, it was a fantastic experience. Elizabeth and Brendan are the best team. They are very informative and professional. The boat was clean and dry—very comfortable. We really enjoyed our day.Posted on Google Matteo LusignoliTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I highly recommend going to Skellig Michael with AquaTerra!! Both the guide and the skeeper were very nice, but the main reason I recommend doing the excursion with them (with respect to other solutions) is their boat. It seemed to me more (or much more) confortable than other boats I saw doing the excursion from Portmagee, and when you are out in the ocean you thank god of being in a confortable and sheltered seat! Their boat is also not noisy, considering its powerful motors. Leaving from Knigthstown (on Valentia Island) instead of Portmagee is not a problem; in fact I found it more nice to have a first (and last) relaxing part in the boat trip, before going out in the ocean.
