The Thinking Behind Skellig Bounty
'Skellig Bounty' is more than a vessel. She represents a deliberate approach to how experiences on the Atlantic should be delivered.
Every decision behind her design reflects AquaTerra’s belief that time on the water should feel considered, balanced, and deeply connected to place.
Operating within Páirc Náisiúnta na Mara, Ciarraí, her role is shaped by an understanding of responsibility as much as access. From how journeys are paced to how the vessel interacts with its surroundings, sustainability is embedded in daily operation, ensuring that exploration supports the long-term protection of this exceptional marine environment.
Built to work with the rhythms of the ocean, she allows journeys to unfold at a pace that respects weather, wildlife, and the character of the Skellig Coast. Access to extraordinary offshore locations is paired with thoughtful operation, ensuring that exploration remains measured and responsible.
This is marine travel shaped by local knowledge, experience at sea, and long-term thinking, setting a quiet but confident benchmark for how the Skellig Coast can be experienced, now and into the future.
The Navigator. Where It All Began
Launched in 2019, 'The Navigator', was the vessel that set AquaTerra in motion. She shaped the earliest experiences on Valentia Harbour and laid the foundations for everything that followed. Purpose-built for calm, sheltered waters, she introduced a quieter, more considered way to explore, combining fuel efficiency, stability, and thoughtful design with a strong focus on accessibility.
Operating within Valentia Harbour, 'The Navigator' offered relaxed, inclusive journeys that felt deeply connected to place. Her lightweight aluminium build, adaptable interior, and open layout allowed guests to fully immerse themselves in the harbour environment, whether cruising gently, landing on nearby islands, or simply enjoying time on the water.
Part of Our Story
'The Navigator', was built with accessibility at her heart, opening up the harbour to guests of all abilities. A custom bow ramp and flexible seating made boarding straightforward and time on board comfortable for everyone.
As AquaTerra continues to move forward, she remains a big part of our story. She taught us how to host people well on the water, how to move with care, and how important it is to slow things down and let a place speak for itself. That way of doing things hasn’t changed.
